Just a pinch of metal.

This is a story of a man stalked by Death. It's not very grim.

This was one of the first short comics that I managed to complete, I think it was made around 2016 and it has been sitting in my archive ever since. It was an exercise to make a short completed project and learn how to make proper comics, a practice of all the skills from scriptwriting, paneling, inking, lettering to scanning. Because of that it's more of a milestone of my growth rather than a something that I'm proud of. But for what it is worth, it's not that bad and I still chuckle when I read it.

Postscript:

While it may seem like some sort of visual metaphore the truth is that for this comic I just wanted to draw skeletons dressed in different costumes.

Art wise, The main inspirations coming into this were Will Eisner's "Theory of Comics and Sequential Art" and "The Dreamer" and an old copy of "The Rubayyat of Omar Khayyam." of which I cannot find anymore.

The character design for Death was quite an interesting challenge, I didn't want an angry looking skull, so I took some artistic license and made it look happier and like it was laughing.

The title comes from a friend of mine seeing me sketching out skulls for the character design and telling me "Wow, tht looks so metal."
